It´s an unforgettable adventure to cross Los Santos Forest Reserve located in the southeast of Costa Rica in an area of great importance for the conservation of the River Basins (Naranjo and Savegre River). It comprises approximately 63.000 hectares of primary and secondary cloud forest, coffee fields and pastures. The characteristic landscape of this area shows us a mosaic of different coexisting natural and cultural ecosystems, nuanced by a high biodiversity impregnating a natural flavor to all of its many hiking routes. The visitor will be able to enjoy a combination of attractions on the paths of Savegre, varying from the clear and loud waters of mountain torrents to the peaceful tall oaks and the daily activities of the picturesque rural communities camouflaged in the forest. This Reserve consists of very humid tropical forest and is an important corridor between Manuel Antonio, Chirripó and Tapantí National Park, and its territory shelters Los Quetzales National Park.
